You know how sometimes you order something random from Amazon and when you get it you think, “Meh. I should have saved the 20 bucks.”
Then there are other things that you start using and think,”OMG, how did I manage without this!” Those are the things you use every day, reorder, and tell your friends about.
Well friends, today I’m sharing a few of my favorites from Amazon. These are the things I use all the time and consider must-haves for my business.
Next time you put in an order, add an extra treat for your business!

I couldn’t do Facebook Live without this handy tripod! It holds the camera steady so people don’t get distracted by changing angles or motion sick from a shaky hand.
This tripod is super affordable, but I was impressed by all the features it offers. You can set it up for vertical or horizontal and the legs adjust up to 50 inches. I have an iPhone 6 and it fits perfectly. Seriously, if you’re doing video with your smartphone you need this!
When I get focused on work, I don’t always keep track of how much water I’m drinking (or how much I’m not drinking). This water bottle makes it so easy to track. No writing it down in your planner or trying to keep track in your head. All I have to do is look at the bands to see how much water I’ve had for the day. Plus, it’s a rainbow!
Even though I’ve been at this awhile, I still get nervous before client calls. These Rescue Remedy pastilles have been a huge help. I usually take one about 30 minutes before a call and it helps calm my nerves. I’ve reordered this because I never want to run out! If you get phone anxiety, give them a try and see if they help you too.
I know, sitting is the new smoking. I want one of those big, adjustable standing desks that can go from sitting to standing with the push of the button…but I don’t have room in my tiny home office. This little cart fits just fine though! It’s perfectly sized for my laptop and can adjust up to 43”. (I’m 5’6” and can get this to a comfortable height for working.)
While the standing desking is great, sometimes you’ve gotta sit. This posture corrector has saved my back. I was having major back and shoulder pain earlier this year from slouching at the computer. This gently corrects your posture to help you sit up straight. At first, I didn’t think it was doing anything. But when I took it off my chair I could feel a BIG difference. If you sit a lot, give this a try.
Dry eyes are going to happen if you work on a computer 8+ hours a day. Give them a break with this warm compress. The heat helps open the oil glands in your eyes that keep them hydrated throughout the day. It also feels like a little meditation break. I use this at least once a day. It’s a great excuse to step away from the computer for 5 minutes and just relax.
I love sending thank you cards out to clients. I don’t know how many people still take the time to write out thank yous by hand, but it adds an extra personal touch that I love. And who doesn’t like getting a surprise in the mail? I like that this set has several designs so you can send the same client multiple cards without repeats. The minimal design is right up my alley and would fit with a lot of brands/colors too.
My Fitbit Charge died last week and I’ve been eyeing this one as a replacement. It has a lot of great features, but the one I’m most excited about are the reminders to move. It’s got an activity monitor that vibrates if you’ve been stationary too long. That’s definitely something I need to remind me to step away from my desk and get a few steps in.
Sometimes it’s easy to get down on yourself and think you’re not doing enough. You’re not growing fast enough. You’re not making enough progress. Using a journal to track your own progress is a great reminder that you’re doing more than you think.
I started this last year and it’s cool to have a record of my business and life milestones. It’s a great reminder that I am making progress, even when it feels like I’m not. It’s only a sentence or two a day, so it’s not a big commitment. I can’t wait to see read back through it once it’s all filled out. A lot can change in 5 years!
Fun Notebooks and Pens
I love office supplies. I have a pen caddy full of fun pens, pencils, and highlighters every color of the rainbow. And why not? That’s one of the joys of working for yourself. You’re not limited to blue ink and yellow highlighters. Go crazy with all the colorful and cute office supplies you can find.
